MAAS Group is proud to have participated successfully in the following infrastructure projects:
Copeton Dam Upgrade – MacMahon With over 1,000,000 m3 of Excavation required. Macmahon have a challenging project in their hands with the Copeton Dam Upgrade. MAAS Group were contracted to supply all earthmoving plant to site for the duration of this project. Items of plant included 2 x 125T Excavators, 3 x Dozers, 6 x Articulated Dump Trucks, 4 x 30T excavators and watercarts. MAAS have a fulltime fitter and supervisor onsite to offer better service to the project. MAAS are very proud to be involved in this project and we thank MacMahon for the opportunity.
Gladstone Seawall Project – AbiGroup With Gladstone QLD being a central export distribution area, all sorts of infrastructure need to be put in place. AbiGroup was contracted to build the seawall needed to build a new Port for export. MAAS Group were invited to Supply a large fleet of 740 Articulated Dump Trucks along with 80T Excavator loading tool to carry out some haulage works on this project. Due to the urgency of completion these items were used on a 24 hour scenario to get maximum productivity and machine utilization. Thank you to the project team for getting MAAS involved.
Karuah To Buladelah Stages 2 & 3 – AbiGroup – MAAS Group supplied quality machinery and operators to the project and was onsite for approximately 2 years. At one stage MAAS had 22 machines onsite. Despit the project been heavily effected by rain ABI Group successfully delivered the prospect on time and within the budget.

John Gilbert Water Treatment Plant – United Group – MAAS Group were the sole earthmoving/civil contractor for this project carrying out a range of detailed works including Bulk Excavation, Pipelaying, Concrete Works and Hourly Rate Plant Hire.

Hume Highway Southern Alliance – AbiGroup – MAAS Group were proud to work on this massive highway duplication project and supplied 8 excavators (3 with GPS), Graders, watercarts, dump trucks and rollers. The duration of this project was approx 18 months.
Hume Highway Northern Alliance -  Leightons – Another giant highway duplication project comprising of 4 seperate project zones. MAAS Group supplied dump trucks, excavators, graders and bulldozers with skilled operators during the second phase of contstruction.
Coopernook to Herrons Creek Pacific Highway Duplication (C2HC) – Thiess – MAAS Group were heavy involved  in this project during the bulk earthworks supplying D10R Dozer to site along with several excavators and watercarts. This project was forced to accelerate due to heavy rainfall in the area.
Wellington to Wollar 330KV Transmission Line – John Holland – MAAS were appointed as clearing and access contractors responsible for majority of the earthworks and road construction for the project. This job was progressive running over 170kms in length with a range of different activities being carried out at any one time. MAAS Group had over 40 staff working on this site at any one time.
Pimpama Waste Water Treatment Plant – United Group Infrastructure – MAAS Group was awarded the job to construct the holding ponds for the newly constructed waste water treatment plant at Pimpama on the Gold Coast QLD. This project was extremely demanding due to the nature of the material and the difficultly of wet weather. MAAS Group project manager, Dominic Wilson managed to bring the project in on time and within budget.
Trundle and Tullamore Waste Water Treatment Plants – Parkes Shire Council – Over the past 2 years, MAAS Group was awarded separate contracts to build the Trundle and Tullamore sewer Treatment Plants for Parkes Shire Council. These projects mainly consisted of bulk earthworks to construct holding ponds along with detailed pipe laying and concrete works. Both jobs were completed early and received positive feedback from client.
Ashley and Boggabilla Waste Water Treatment Plants – Moree Plains Council – Similar to the projects for Parkes Shire, MAAS Group were awarded two separate projects several years apart to construct the Ashley and Boggabilla Waste Water Treatment Plants. These projects were overseen by NSW Department of Commerce and also received positive feedback from the client including a letter of endorsement and reference from Moree Plains Council.
Wollar Substation – United Group Infrastructure – In 2009 MAAS Group were contracted to complete the bulk and detailed excavation along with stormwater and oil containment pipelines for the Wollar substation. This was a project conducted in a remote area with many challenges. MAAS Group successfully completed this project which consisted of over 80 pits, hundreds of metres of pipe and several kilometres of kerb. MAAS also manufactured all own quarry products for the project.
Fletcher Rail Siding & Hardstand Construction – Fletcher International Exports – MAAS Group were responsible for all earthworks and construction of hardstand for the Fletcher Rail Siding and Bulk Grain Facility. This project consisted of over 1.2 kms of new rail and 2kms of new road, weighbridge and 100,000m2 of hardstand.
Pilons Industrial Subdivision – Barnson/Rod Pilon Transport – MAAS Group were the principal contractor responsible for the delivery of a 13 lot industrial subdivision in Dubbo NSW. This project consisted of Heavy Duty Road specification including lime and cement stabilising works.
Orana Mall Redevelopment – Bachrach Group – Nationwide property investors Bachrach Group appointed MAAS Group to conduct substantial civil works to upgrade to the loading facilities at Orana Mall in Dubbo. These facilities service retailers such as Woolworths, Franklins and Big W. The project involved bulk excavation, drainage and new concrete pavements and loading ramps.

Dubbo Transformation Project – NSW Industry & Investment – Stages 1 and 2 of this project were awarded to MAAS Group and recently completed on time and within budget despite experiencing large amounts of rainfall. New residential roads, sewer, power, stormwater and concrete works constituted the vast majority of work required on this project.

Bunnings Development – H Troon & Sons – H Troon and Sons were awarded the work to construct the new Bunnines warehouse and bulky goods precinct in Dubbo. Subsequently MAAS Group were contracted to carry out all earthworks, carpark and external concrete works for the job. With a very strict project timeframe MAAS Group accelerated the programme to deliver its portion of work with a couple of weeks remaining.
Westdale Waste Water Treatment Plant Tamworth – United Group Infrastructure – Another project for United Group was the Westdale Holding tertiary ponds 3. This pond was 275 Megalitre holding pond was subjected to very strict geotechnical testing. MAAS Group completed 3.5 Km of open stormwater channel whilst onsite fully lined with Jute Mesh.
Kooragang Coal Export Terminal – AbiGroup -  MAAS Group have proudly supplied equipment to the KCET site for the past 2 years. During this period, MAAS Group has supplied a large fleet of CAT 740 Articulated Trucks along with associated equipment as required. MAAS Group has excelled with back up service having its mobile mechanical staff onsite to respond promptly to breakdowns and service requirements.
Bonville Bypass – AbiGroup – Bonville was MAAS Group’s first major project working alongside AbiGroup Contractors. MAAS Group learnt over the course of this job including the importance of clear communication and machinery working in succession.
Ulan Coal Conveyor Relocation – Downer EDI -  MAAS Group supplied earthmoving equipment to Downer during the Ulan Coal Conveyor relocation. MAAS Group had several items of plant onsite for the duration of this job including excavators , graders and water carts. MAAS Group would welcome the opportunity to work alongside Downer again in the future.
Bulk Water Alliance Enlarge Cotter Dam -  AbiGroup – After years of following this project MAAS Group appreciated the invitation by BWA to supply quality equipment to the Cotter Dam project in the ACT. The project is current and  MAAS Group is expected to have equipment onsite until September 2011. MAAS Group is responsible for the supply of 15 Articulated Trucks for the purpose of cartage bulk overburden, quarry materials and concrete. MAAS Group purchased a fleet of 9 Ejector style trucks to fit this application and will be running the truck 24/7 as the project proceeds.
Burrendong Dam Upgrade – MacMahon Contractors - Burrendong Dam is fortunately one of the closest Infrastructure projects that MAAS Group has been involved with. This project is located near Wellington in NSW, 45 minutes small drive from home base of Dubbo. MAAS Group was appointed to supply all required earthmoving equipment for the job involving raising the existing dam wall and saddle dams structures. This project is expected to be completed by December 2010.
Lake Keepit Dam Upgrade – John Holland -  Like Burrendong Dam, Lake Keepit was funded by State Water to be upgraded for flood security. John Holland was the successful tenderer for stage one of these works. Fortunately MAAS Group were able to get involved supplying bulk items to assist with the earthworks component of the job. MAAS Group has supplied a scraper fleet of 631’s along with dozers, excavators and articulated trucks.
Hunter Expressway – AbiGroup MAAS Group have closely monitored the approval progress over the past couple of years for the much needed Hunter Expressway. In 2010 the section between Kurri Kurri and Branxton was awarder to AbiGroup. Fortunately MAAS Group have a solid relationship with the AbiGroup project team and therefore have been able to assist in the supply of GPS equipped Excavators and Dozers along with a fleet of Articulated Dump Trucks.  
Hunter Expressway Alliance – Thiess / Hunter Expressway Alliance
Thiess were the winning bidder for the section of works required from the existing F3 Freeway through to Kurri Kurri. This section of works is extremely demanding given the redundant underground mines in the area. MAAS Group have been proud to supply this project with a small fleet of Articulated Dump Trucks along with an 825 Compactor among other earthmoving equipment.
 
Bulahdelah Bypass – Baulderstone Bulahdelah Bypass is a long awaited section of the notorious Pacific Highway that required attention. Baulderstone won the job and commenced work in 2010. MAAS Group supplied a D10R Dozer , D6R Dozer, Articulated watercart and Articulated Dump Trucks to the project. This project has proved to very demanding and challenging given local rainfall and poor soil conditions.  
Woomargama Bypass – Hume Highway Woomargama Alliance
MAAS Group were pleased to be involved with one of last upgrades required for the Hume Highway. This project was a huge earthworks job that included some major cuttings along with detailed drainage works. MAAS Group supplied GPS Excavators and Dozers along with 6 x 740 Articulated dump trucks, 4 x 730 Ejector Trucks and Articulated Watercarts.
 
Holbrook Bypass – AbiGroup Commencing in Early 2011 Holbrook Bypass in the last Major works required to duplicate the Hume Highway. Again AbiGroup are involved and have won the job due for completion in early 2013. MAAS Group have GPS excavators engaged on this project to assist in the detailed excavations and drainage.  
Gladstone GLNG Earthworks – MacMahon Liquid Natural Gas in the energy of the future and will be major resource for export through Gladstone Ports in the near future. Macmahon have been contracted to complete 4,000,000m3 of earthworks on Curtis Island for the first LNG plant construction. Thus far MAAS have supplied this project with NEW Excavators , 825 Compactors and graders for the project. Due to the clients requirements all equipment is DRY hired to the project. MAAS have supplied a fitter to site to ensure we offer prompt back up service.  
BHP Mayfield Remediation – Daracon Daracon have long been the contractor in Newcastle / Hunter Region to be involved in major projects in the area. MAAS Group have supplied a package of Articulated Dump Trucks, watercarts and a D9R Dozer to assist in the BHP site remediation at Mayfield. This project will run to mid 2012.  
Kemspsey Bypass – Kempsey Bypass Alliance Leightons or Kempsey Bypass Alliance have been working there way through some poor conditions to construct the much required Kempsey Bypass. MAAS Group have supplied 2 x 631 scrapers to the project for a bulk cut and fill section through the southern end of the job.  
Tritton Copper Mine – Neill Earthmoving Since 2008 MAAS Group have been supplying various equipment to Triiton Mine at Hermidale in Western NSW. Local contractor Neill Earthmoving are contracted by Straits Copper to look after most earthworks projects onsite.  
Mt Thorley Coal Mine – Robson Civil Projects. Robson Civil projects are a Newcastle / Central coast based contractor that conducts works on various mine sites in the Hunter Valley and beyond. MAAS Group have been fortunate to be invited to supply equipment into a Robson project at Mt Thorley in the Hunter Valley. Items include a 45T Excavator and a small fleet of Articulated dump trucks.  

These projects are a portion of jobs MAAS has been involved with and we look forward to working with existing clients and looking for new opportunities to expand into the Wet and Dry plant hire markets.
